Do you ever feel like no matter what you do, you’re stuck in the same routines, doing the same things, and not really getting anywhere?
You want to make changes in your life… get a better job, make your relationship better, lose weight, stop complaining, be more organized, have better time management, be a better parent… but when you try, you fail, or worse yet, you don’t how to start. Isn’t it frustrating?
The reason most people find it so hard to make those lasting changes is their brain. That’s right… your own brain will stop you from doing exactly what it is you want to do. It’s crazy isn’t it!??
The brain is a powerful tool, but its primary directive is to keep you safe. It sorts every piece of information it gets (and MOST of that you are completely unaware of) and categorizes everything based on your past experiences and beliefs. Things you are comfortable with are deemed “safe” and things that are unfamiliar are “unsafe.” And so, the “unsafe” stuff, even if it’s something you want, will be sabotaged.
Join us on Monday on It’s a Pair-A-Docs to learn how to finally get your brain working for you. We’re working on a very special guest for this show… someone you won’t want to miss. He lectures world wide on this topic, and I’m crossing my fingers we can get him on! The show starts at 11 a.m. Pacific on AM1380 if you live in the A.V. If you’re not local, you can listen online at www.Newstalk1380.com.
